Bernwode Evelina-S awarded the British Equestrian Federation’s Leading Sports Pony Dam 2009 -
On Saturday January 9th Lucy attended the annual Breeders Dinner & Award Ceremony at The Grange City Hotel, London to receive the award. This award recognises the outstanding offspring Evelina has consistently produced. Before joining us at Delaroche Stud she had already produced Hartpury College’s graded Sports Pony stallion Bernwode Benedict. Her first foal at Delaroche Stud was born in 2007, Delaroche Breve. In 2008 this filly, by FEI dressage pony stallion Bernwode Brokat, was the highest placed Sports Pony Yearling in the entire BEF Futurity Scheme, receiving 9.5 for athleticism!
2008 saw the arrival of Evelina’s colt foal Delaroche Laureve by our own stallion Lauriston. Continuing the success of her progeny in the 2009 BEF Futurity Scheme this yearling son received an Elite First Premium.
We are very excited to see what 2010 brings as Evelina is back in foal to Bernwode Brokat. She is due on 29th March & will hopefully produce a full sibling with the same exceptional quality, athleticism & trainability as both Benedict & Breve.
